About Joe
Joe is most at home behind a steering wheel or a keyboard. From time to time you can find him standing sideways on boards (Skateboarding, Snowboarding, Surfing, One-Wheeling) or exercising some creative muscle. You will nearly always find him with his wife, Lilia.
Joe has merged contributions into RuboCop (a Markdown formatter, shipped in v1.29), thoughtbot’s Appraisal gem (three merged PRs), and several other open-source Ruby projects.
These days he’s a Staff Software Engineer specializing in legacy platform modernization, dependency security, and AI-assisted engineering tooling.
